How one man defied the norm and saved his mother: Mohit Saxena, Co-founder InMobi shares his journey with cancer
Mohit Saxena, Co-Founder of InMobi shares his experience with us on being a first degree caregiver and a user of the therapies included in the CARER Program. Mohit found complementary therapies to be extremely helpful in the recovery of his mother. Mohit’s mother was diagnosed with stage-4 cancer. While some gave her only six months time, other doctors even refused to treat her.
Mohit started researching and found that there were drugs out there that the doctors were not using because they weren’t sure if he could afford them. The experience taught Mohit that it was important for caregivers to take an active role in the treatment of the patient. It is vitally important for caregivers to be knowledgeable of the latest information in cancer care.
Mohit found through personal experience while caring for his mother that just relying on medicine isn’t enough, as the patient’s state of mind and lifestyle play an equally important part and to fight cancer a specific diet and exercise needs to be followed for building immunity. He also observed that doctors often give very specific timelines on the expected survival of the patient based on unreliable information. Mohit found the CARER Program to be particularly helpful in the recovery process of his mother. He was an early user of the holistic healing therapies in the CARER Program. Mohit’s mother successfully managed to defeat stage-4 cancer with a combination of conventional and complementary therapies.
